Hair Growth Tips
(page 3)

Washing continued... If you shy away from washing because you have a problem with hair loss from tangling after washing, try washing your hair when it is in braids. (4 or more braids) This reduces tangles when you comb it out after the wash. The braids aren't made to be tight at the scalp like individuals. It is just a loose braid so you can easily get products and your fingers to your scalp to massage. I do not remember who came up with the method, but it works. Another tip is to comb hair from the ends up to the roots. Not from the roots down to ends

7. Low manipulation.
The less you manipulate and handle your hair, the less hair breakage and splits you will have. Protective Styles like braids, cornrows, wigs, etc are good for this. Some people choose to not comb everyday and that is their method. Combing and/or brushing too often may cause splits and/or hair breakage.

8. Combing. When you do comb, it may help reduce breakage to finger comb before using the actual comb. Combing too violently or through tangles will cause hair loss. (continued on page 4)
